What is refurbished?
A refurbished computer is not second-hand hardware sold as is. It is professional equipment, checked, tested and refurbished part by part, then covered by a warranty like a new device. Here is exactly how we work.
Refurbished is not the same as second-hand
Second-hand hardware is a device resold as is, without inspection or warranty. A refurbished device, on the other hand, passes through our hands: it is taken apart, diagnosed, cleaned, worn parts are replaced, and then it is tested under load before it moves on. At TechElite every machine is put under the magnifying glass — that is our job, and it is why we can give a 2-year warranty on it.
Our process, step by step
Every computer follows the same path, with no shortcuts. Six stages — from selection to warranty.
Hardware selection
We start only with professional hardware — HP EliteBook and ZBook, built to last for years. No cheap consumer gear: only machines designed for intensive work.
Inspection and grading
Every device is examined and graded by its actual condition. We select only machines of grade A+ or A: close to new in appearance, or light signs of use that are barely visible. The grade is stated on every product page; we sell nothing below grade A.
Full technical testing
We test every component separately: processor under load, memory, screen, keyboard, battery, ports, Wi-Fi, hinges. The hardware runs under stress to check stability — we leave nothing to chance.
Refurbishing
Worn parts are replaced: every battery below 70% health and every drive below 80% is replaced. Then comes a professional clean, inside and out.
Installation and updates
Windows 11 is installed clean, with all current drivers. The machine then goes through a stability test under load so it reaches you ready to work.
Final check and warranty
One last quality check, careful packaging and a 2-year warranty on the whole computer — while most sellers stop at one year.
Our criteria, no compromises
Three measurable requirements no machine gets past. Below the threshold, the part is replaced.
Grade A+ or A: like new, or light signs of use that are barely visible.
Guaranteed at a minimum of 70% of the original capacity. Below that — replaced.
SSD guaranteed at a minimum of 80% of its lifespan. Below that — the drive is replaced.
